Real buildsheet or fake?
WAX-UM Jun 4th, 09, 12:24 PM I dont trust the tear in the upper right corner, Their were alot of true LS6 cars come from that dealer.
I would need to spend alot more time disecting the buildsheet but first glance I do believe its real.
mrfuzzy Jun 4th, 09, 12:52 PM i'm no expert, but if the vin is readable in the corner isn't that okay? very nice car.
grandsport Jun 4th, 09, 1:31 PM I question it because there are no spring marks from the seat :D
LS6 Johnny Jun 4th, 09, 2:17 PM I agree with Jim... The tear in the upper right corner and the fact that the vin was decked off, makes me wonder if it is a real LS6. Also, how do you just deck the vin off and not the rest of the number on the pad.
Many atlanta built cars had the build sheet attached to the inside of the door panel,
that may be the reason why their is no springs marks on the build sheet.

Bcool Jun 4th, 09, 4:39 PM Shouldn't there be a 6500 rpm tach?
sparky1698 Jun 4th, 09, 5:04 PM Shouldn't there be a 6500 rpm tach?
No, because it doesn't have the U14 instrument package
Dave Birdwell Jun 4th, 09, 10:33 PM Sheet looks real to me.
Bill Pritchard Jun 5th, 09, 1:33 AM Also, how do you just deck the vin off and not the rest of the number on the pad.
That's an excellent question  Couldn't have been too easy to do that. Have to give credit to the seller though for saying he's unable to determine if its the original block.
lrdvdr41 Jun 5th, 09, 10:23 AM So the consensu is that it is a real buildsheet? The vin # is visible on the BS, so it must be a real LS6
70SSOBSESSION Jun 5th, 09, 10:52 AM That car has been for sale over a year. Kind of makes me think that somethings not right because it's a clean looking car in the pics.
7-t-elco Jun 5th, 09, 1:18 PM Also, how do you just deck the vin off and not the rest of the number on the pad.
Is it possable, the T 225 CRV numbers he refers to in front of the block, are stamped directly above the timing cover?
oktunes Jun 5th, 09, 2:47 PM I don't trust any paperwork and would not buy any car based on the numbers game. I would just make a fair deal on a car I like. Forgeries have gotten so sophisticated that I don't think you can believe anyone anymore!
docchevelle Jun 5th, 09, 11:11 PM I spoke to the owner the other day... He told me the engine is not the orignial block, it was installed by the resto shop that did the car. The m22 is not the original either but..... Its not selling for 80k. The build sheet is real and he has complete resto pictures.
What do you think i should pay for it $45.000?
He was very honest with me.
