What is the body piece that is between the back glass and the trunk lid? That strip of metal is rusted out pretty bad. It has a ton of rust there and I'm going to have to replace it. It looks like the guy I got it from filled it up with lots of body putty.

How hard is this going to be to replace?

Thanks

I had to pull the rear window........cut out old piece, weld in replacement panel, replaced some of the molding tabs while I was at it. It was lots of work, and messy, but worth it with no leaks now.

Hmmm. I'm a decent welder but I'm not sure I would do a great job on that. That would be pretty expensive to have a body shop do it, wouldn't it? Maybe ill just have to brush up on my welding skills, haven't done it in a while. I know the correct way to weld it which helps.
