was told that the lower a arms on chevelles came with the back bushing being either oval or round, what distigushes this? thx steel

70-72 have the ovals, 69-earlier have the round ones.

Bluess454, you've been very helpful in the past, and ALWAYS right, now this is true for every engine size? I am about ready to purchase all new a arms and wanna make sure i get the correct ones. thx again steel graemlins/waving.gif

could come with either bushings, not specific by year. Depends on the plant.

Based on my two 1970's, it may not have even been plant specific. Both my cars came from the same plant and one had the oval and the other had the round.

Since you said you are buying new control arms I think either type of control arm will work. Clearly, if you were just replacing the bushings you would need to check first to see which bushing, oval or round, would be needed for a given control arm.
