I am getting ready to replace the floorpan and trunkpan in my 1964 chevelle convertible.

Parts of my inner rocker panel are rusted through (near the braces and near the front by the firewall). I need to replace all or part of the inner rocker panel.

I reached my finger in the holes in the inner rocker and it feels like there is a panel between the inner and outer rockerpanel. Is that true?

The floorpan actually gets sandwiched inbetween the inner and outer rocker in the passenger compartment.

yes a 64 Vert has an inner rocker, and outter rocker and an intermediate. Rockers are always beefed up on convertibles.
