1badss396 Jun 1st, 09, 12:53 PM About the only thing I have done is put some baking soda on it and rub it into the carpet and let it sit for a while then vacuum it up?
Stalkingbear Jun 1st, 09, 12:55 PM Old Spice.... dump a bit inside and it will remind her of YOU! Ha!
Byfield Jun 1st, 09, 12:55 PM Try some pet stain smell remover - should be able to find it at the pet store or in the cleaner aisle of a larger grocery store
Chevelle_Nut Jun 1st, 09, 1:03 PM Throw a few dryer sheets under the seats
SixActual Jun 1st, 09, 1:06 PM Cut that piece of the carpet out.
When it was first spilled, you should have used a Sham-Wow on it. :D
ChaosEnvy Jun 1st, 09, 1:13 PM Throw a catfish under the seat.. In no time the milk smell won't be a problem anymore. Guaranteed.
Anyhow, Bicarbonate, Coffee grounds, Vinegar. Some kind of neutralizer will take care of it.

johncolvin Jun 1st, 09, 2:35 PM I've always has great luck with the Meguiars odor remover. I left some shoes that I was wearing in a river in the trunk of my new car over night. The nex day it smelled like...well river and fish. A couple applications of the Meguiars and the smell was gone forever.

joeyv69ragtop Jun 1st, 09, 3:10 PM I would shampoo the car. you've got curdled milk hanging out under the carpet. you can try and mask it all you want but its still going to be there and be nasty. girl i used to date did the same thing, spilled a whole latte in her car. it smelled for years until she got rid of it.

rbwjr325 Jun 1st, 09, 3:57 PM Maby Nil Oder, but I think the only thing that works is time.Your great grandson probobly wont notice the smell when he gets the car.
Stalkingbear Jun 1st, 09, 4:07 PM Sell her a Pacifica? Come on, Gary, these are all great ideas!
Take the carpets out and wash them good. Hose..hot water if you can rig it up lots of deodorizer. You MIGHT get lucky it depends on how long the stuff has been there. I spilled a gallon of milk once and got all the smell out BUT I got the rug out almost IMMEDIATELY. Once it starts to 'ferment" under there you are likely looking at new carpets.
All this other stuff is just gonna COVER UP THE PROBLEM. It is like when the cat pees on the carpet. Unless and untill you get everything out of the capet fibre it is gonna smell. You are not gonna get everything out without getting both sides of the carpet open to fresh clean air.
Tony1967 Jun 1st, 09, 6:55 PM Pull the carpet - get it cleaned at a good detail shop - change out anything under the pad - insulation - pad stuff. Or get all new - if you plan to keep the car.
