I just put my body back on my 68 chevelle and and when I measure from the frame to the rear fender lip on each side they measure 13.5 on the right and 13 on the left. So my question is there enough play in the body mounts to move the rear of the body over a 1/4. Or is this normal for it to be off on both sides? Thanks, Joe

There should be 1/4 to 3/8-inch play in the mounts to move the body around on the frame. I don't tighten anything until all of the front sheet metal is hung and fits correctly.

Thank you, I was worried about this all day at work. I got home a little whiile ago and slid the body over a 1/4 inch and not each side is 13 1/4 inches.

There are some alignment holes that you stick a rod in to insure proper placement. In front of the rear wheels and behind the front by the firewall.
