I've had several issues with my system. I've not been able to access the internet for one. Only my MS Office programs will open. I have an Office 2007 update software on ti's way, so I would like to fix this before I reformat or install a new hard drive.

Would re-installing windows help me access the internet?

Thanks in Advance

I'd say most of your issues could be resolved with the right knowledge or a few hours with a tech. I remember you issue, and it has been persistant for a few weeks now. I'd say, a refresh would be your simplest and most affordable route to go.

As to whether you will have internet access after the refesh.. I cannot guarantee this as I do not know the underlying problem of your internet access. If it happened after you tried the disk duplication, then I'd say yes, you will be good to go after you refresh your OS.

I agree. Internet access could be anything from a bad NIC, driver corruption, to an unpaid ISP bill.

A fresh install of Windows, and not just a fix, with a fresh disk partition and quick format should eliminate any software issues and allow installation of fresh drivers.
