I recently purchased a super front end kit from PST. Nice kit. However as some of you know their kits come w/o any instructions. Not really a big deal. If you take a little time and have your old stuff for a reference, you'll get by. However, I noticed that two of the tie rods are larger than the other two at the ends(fatter). Does anyone know if the fatter ones are the inner or outer tie rods???????? Or does it not matter???? Any help would be gr8...Thanks Vince

I bought them a few months ago. i believe two are lefted screwed and two are right screwed. match them up with the coupler so when you turn it will pull the tie rods in or outward.

When you say larger and smaller do mean 2 are 11/16" threads and 2 are 5/8" threads?? 71-72 used 11/16" threads. Typicaly the left hand threads are the inner.

The threads are the same dia I think..I'm referring to the very ends. One is fatter than the other. It doesn't appear that it would matter But I wanted to ask if it would.Thx

did the kit come with a list of all the parts and where they go? if so, go by that. i had the same confusion with the Moog stuff i bought for my Nova, but looked at my part number list and figured out which ones went where. in my Nova, the longer tie rods went to the inside, i believe, with the shorter ones to the outside.

It should not matter, just as long as you do the same for one side as you did for the other. when you set it up, just make sure if you use left handed for the outer on the drivers side, use the left handed for the outer on the passanger side!
