OK GUY'S; Maybe I missed it, but I have been trying to locate a complete front suspension and steering ( tie rods & ball joints ) as well as upper and lower control arm bolt torqe specifications and have come up with some but not all of the specs  I am literally ready to put my front suspension back together real soon and am trying to get all the information I can before so graemlins/beers.gif Any information will gladly be reall apprecitated :D

Also guy's I also have a question that I would like to ask my fellow Chevelle guru's, I installed my new PST bushings last night, and I do know that when I removed my original 33 year old rubber bushing shells ( this applies to the round ones only ) the shells were spot welded from the factory  OK, now knowing that the Poly graffite bushings are a lot different and the fact that you have to lubricate the bushings wherever thet come in contact with metal, I came to the conclusion that these bushing are a completly different animal, and that they will literally rotate on the center shaft therefore not needing to weld the shell to the control arm to prevent the shell from rotating within the lower control arm graemlins/thumbsup.gif If you guy's feel that I should weld these shells, or not please pipe in  I cetainly hope that I am cool because I just painted them today and I will be really bumming if I have to spot weld them :(

Thanks in advance guy's

The Factory Assembpy manual has the torque specs in it. It's really worth picking up. A lot of the repro parts dealers have them.

I'd give you the specs out of mine, but I'm at work.

I didn't weld the bushing shells with my PST bushings. My stock rubber were not welded either. The idea is that the press fit shell should be a lot harder to rotate than the poly bushing material. If it was an easy job to get the bushings in the control arms, they might need to be tacked.

Upon reviewing the tourqe specs on a previous posting here that TronDD kindly pointed out to me, I did not see any specs for the lower front control arm bolts

Anybody know these specs, also what are the specs for the upper control arm shaft with the big nut style that clamp the bushings to the shaft graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Thanks guy's graemlins/beers.gif

Lower arms: 70-90 ft/lbs

I don't see a spec for the upper arm bushing bolts so I don't know what to tell ya. I have the type that uses a nut, too, and I can't recall what I torqued them to. I guess I just made them tight. smile.gif
