A few days ago I paid $400.00 to be rid of a script kiddie. had the Geek Squad come out and fix the computer after I found and deleated 18 pages of host files.I found kiddie porn,password genrators,world security sights and many other bad things. there was a total of 18 pages of everything that you could imagine of bad things stored in host files on my computer that could have put me in jail and my wife possibly in prison with her being in a another counrty right now. I turned over 18 pages to the police department and this was the second report on this neighbor over script kittie programs installed on my computer of course they have done nothing. my computer is not wireless and i have now had to shut off my wireless network just to stop him from being able to run this program again. how fair is it that i have to change my service and not have wireless because otherwise he can get back in again, I was told by the geek squad with the wireless turned off that he cannot get back in unless he breaks into my house and turns it back on. how do i know if he gets back in with a stronger script kittie because he comes in very quiety and slowly at first. in these 18 pages he had access to shut down every firewall and security system that you can get to protect your computer I'm worried that cable internet connection may not be secure enough after what i have seen through this stuff with the neighbor. I will not mention what spyware program caught this for fear that something will be built in the script kiddie to knock this one down also. what do you think about this situation and the extent of what these script kiddie programs can really do to a person and their computer. I have a total of about $750 invested into trying to stop this script kiddie on old dinosaur computers

If you dont have wireless then why do you need wireless???

Part of your problem may be that they are dinosaurs - the older programs have many more vulnerabilities than the newer (but still not really secure).

Have you tried a Mac? They are also vulnerable, but there are too few of them for people to bother trying - they go after the giant, not jack so to speak. Your guy may not be familiar with the Mac and it may allow you some freedom, albeit without wireless.

He seems to like you personally, or no one else in the area is noticing what he's doing on their computers.

I've had wireless internet for sometime now. the first time i was hit with the script kiddie I had the wireless turned off but somehow it was turned back on. I had 5 bars outside with no antenna on the router the geek squad shut the wireless function down and showed me how to tell if it has been turned back on, and then showed me how to shut it back down if need be. she also installed a password on my router and gave me her phone number and e-mail address. She also wants to see the script kiddie caught. I have talked to this neighbor about it but his brother was caught drinking antifreeze and taken to a nut house can you talk to someone like this and get them to understand???? this has been going on for three years now. One other neighbor has also noticed the script kiddie program when his and my ebay accounts were broken into he has also taken the proper steps in getting this problem handled on his end.

Earlyer tonight a big yelling match started in the center of the road with me a the script kiddie guy.He was yelling about me calling the police on him and I yelled back(if anyone on this block wants to call the police about his late night partys,I will say that I called the police)the next thing I see is half of the people on this block standing behind me,backing me up.I went back to my house and got the 18 pages of deleted host files and told him that my wife and I could have gone to jail over this.He lied about it and said he did not do it with his girl friend and baby at his side.I said that there was kiddie porn in these deleted host files and his girl friend got madder than hell at him.So I told her it was called lolaunderage and she got even madder at him.He does this when she leaves.About this time I see every one that is not standing behind me is now in there front yard listening to here the whole story.I did not tell them that I gave a copy to the police to cover my butt.Next thing I here is people saying to the script kiddie guy,why dont you think of someone besides yourself and they start talking back and forth about how many times they have called the police on him as he is trying to say he gets along with every body.The lady who lives in the house next to him says,why dont you let us know when you have a party?she also has a young baby.The next thing I know they are talking to him about his drug dealing and it was mostly women.I had to walk away at that time,I try to stay away from pissed off women!!! I dont know what happened but his girlfriend did not spend the night at his house.

ALL RIGHT!!! I think we got rid of him. Yeah Dave, Like I told you once before NO WIRELESS. With your situation it's just too dangerous.
