what do you all think about air shocks? good, bad? I was thinking about gabriel hijackers... any comments?

You will be better off going with air bags instead. From what I have heard about air shocks is that they put alot of weight and pressure on the lower shock mounts and can crack them, plus they don't give your car a real good ride.

Air shocks are ment to level loads, there is nothing wrong with air shocks if you don't pump them as high as they go, and make hard launches with them like that. for a car thats that driven under normal conditions there is nothing wrong with air shocks. any of the top name brands will work fine for that.

thanx for the help guys... what do you suggest for a shocks in the rear? I use the car only for pleasure cruises and car shows.... however when i do have the urge to let it unwind a lil i want the back end to have a firm plant on the ground off the line

did my 65 elcamino come stock with air shocks? it looks like it did. also who makes them thanks
