Well, after being MIA since 05, guess what came back home! :hurray:
anyway, storytime:
The car was stored at my grandmothers house, 20 miles away. so the GF's dad and I decide to take his new chevy 1500 and try its trailering abilities since the '66 doesnt have taillights or brakelights. anyway, we set off at 9:30. takes 20 min to get to his friends house where the trailer is stored. so its next to his garage- in the grass and dirt. It's been raining the past 3 days. therefore, mud and 3" puddles of on top of the mud. so we decide to try backing the truck up to the trailer first- end up with ruts, almost get stuck. then we figure out- we can push the traler through the mud to the driveway. I end up with my sneakers nice and muddy. so then we're off! drive there is uneventful. we go to turn the truck around with the trailer once we get to the house, and find the trailers got a flat. we go to the gas station, fill them up- and find the valvestem on one is leaking. badly. and guess what we didnt bring because we didnt think we would need it? yup, the spare. Tim(gf's dad) hightails it to the only tire place for 20 miles, and gets there just as doors are closing. he gets them to replace it, and we load up the car. only to find a fuel leak:sad:. hooray.
so then, we get it back home. hooray. finally get it unloaded, and then events end! fuel leak fixed, got it cleaned up. now I owe him 20 bcks of gas. was it worth it?
Hell yes.:beers:
anyway, heres a few pics-
