I put the 12" Late Fbody brakes at all 4 corners of the chevelle (1972). I also put Hotchkis 1" drop springs all around with 275/40 rear and 245/45 front tires on 17" wheels. I half-assed through the fenders on and let the car off the jack stands to check the stance. I REALLY think it needs to come down more in the front. Does anybody know if I adapt the drop spindles to accept my brakes?

Drop spindles tend to create problems between the lower control arms and deep backspaced wheels. Another problem with them is finding drop spindles that allow you to run something other than G-body brakes.
I would talk to Coil Spring Specialties about building you some custom springs.
I would get the car back on the ground and drive it for awhile, before making any ride height adjustments. New springs take time to settle. What's marginal now might be optimal in a month or so of driving.

thanks clint. I know that the springs will settle, but I would think the fronts and rears would settle proportionately, thus keeping the stance as is, but a tad lower all around. I will just watch it and see what happenbs. It will be a while before the car sees the road.

I think it needs at least 2" more drop in the front and about 1-1/2" more in the rear.
