I just bought a new PST Polygraphite Front End kit for my 70. Any ideas for something that will protect these parts?

I don't really know anyone who powdercoats in this area. And if I did, do you powdercoat the threaded areas, such as the tie rods, or not? What other protectants are there?

I'm looking at covering my A-arms, idler arm, Pitman arm, centerlink, tie rod assembly...anything else? I'm not using my swaybar.

This car is about 80%strip/20%street, so I don't drive it in many harsh daily conditions, but it does stay parked outside. I'm kinda budget minded, but would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks! smile.gif

You don't powder coat anywhere there are threads or where something is a press fit. The powder coating is pretty thick and would get in the way.

I went with POR-15 for my front end parts. Easy and durable.

I have a harbor frieght powdercoating setup and an old oven in my garage, works great. I am powdercoating my 66 suspension setup, the only question I have is on the tierods, idler arms, center link are there any rubber parts (other than the boot?) Its just metal on metal in there right? so I can powdercoat them without worry.
