I'm building a 355 with Sportsman II heads to go into my 71 El Camino, does anybody out there have experience with a similar setup?What type headers worked for you? I'm using a 700R4 trans

My 406 has sportsman 2 heads and I'm using Hooker Competition 1 5/8" tubes with ceramicote.

thanks for replying, I was told I needed 1 3/4 tubes at a minimum, but after comparing the port sizes to header tubes sizes I could'nt understand where a problem would come up. I think I will make about 380 HP and feel that 2 1/2 exhaust will be enough for a street rod
