I am going to be putting in new balljoints and have the choice between Moog and TRW for my 70, Are there any differances good or bad with either. The TRW's are less expensive. Thanks.

x2 on Moog.
I trust my guy at the auto parts store and he said the "good stuff" (Moog) was a little more $ but was the way to go.

Well you could always stop by NAPA and pick up their premium stuff which is DANA/SPICER and forget about the second rate stuff.......

Hmmm, it's apparently a split decision. I still am undecided, but I remember TRW as top of the line, BUT Moog is also there. Undecided.

No. Moog is owned by Federal Mogul. Try their "Problem Solver" line. They are top quality replacement front end parts. Made in USA and Canada.
I own 3 Chevelles and have been using their products since 1968.

The actual parts inside the boxes are likely to be made by the same company.

You might find TRW parts in the Moog box, you might find Moog parts in the TRW box, and you are very likely to find "Shin Ho People's Happy Chassis Supply" parts in either box.

The parts supply industry is chock-full of reboxers; companies that source products from an outside vendor and put their label on the packaging.

note: moog products are not made by any other company and they do not put trw units etc. in their boxes.their products are nascar approved ,top quality precison made to oe specs and made in the usa and canada and one of the only companies today still doing this.their products do not compromise on customers safety and are made to last and they DO NOT USE OFFSHORE PRODUCTS.As to "reboxers" that is the parts store and their warehouse it is called " parts lift" and " private labeling" .I have been using Moog products in my cars since 1968 ( I OWNED AND RACED A 1968 S/S 427 CHEVELLE BACK THEN) also I have also been affilated with moog products since 1975 and they are top notch all the way Bob Rizzi

how hard is it to get NASCAR approved? i would hope it's a more strenuous test than the one they use to become the official anything else of NASCAR..

What are your thoughts on using the Car Quest brand which I am told is Moog in another box. I already have all the other control arm bushings from Car Quest. They seem to be alot less expensive.

Bob Rizzi, where are you in Westchester?

Roland,Carquest is based in Armonk and started out in the Bronx, they put top quality parts in their boxes (this is called "private labeling" ) it could be Moog,Trw etc, If it is MOOG BALL JOINTS it should have a heavy duty rubber booth on the unit and state "MOOG" and should say "PROBLEM SOLVER" the Moog number on the upper would be K5108, lower k5103. I am out of White Plains, NY. My 68' Chevelle was well known back in the late 1960's and early 70's a 427 L-88 10 second car. Today I own a 66' 427 Chevelle/68' 396 Chevelle/70' 454 CHEVELLE Bob Rizzi
