Got the two upper rear control arm bolts loose last night!
Now I can get the axle out of the car. Wahoo!!!!
Looks like the upper front bolts need the springs and mufflers removed so I can get an impact on them.
I love this nice 40 year old rust in the face!!!!!

Can you do it with hand tools and avoid pulling those other parts?

Tons of fun...gotta love the rust in the face...hey last summer my family and I came out there to check out a rental house we have in Bay St. Louis....really stoked on THE SHED...best bbq we have ever had....hopefully we'll be back someday!
The Chevelle has been to the Shed. Truly a one of a kind location. Like a mini Florabama!
I hope your rental is doing better than mine. I just sold my camp, evicted the third set of non rent paying occupants from my rental and moved back in. Two months and I have almost reclaimed it.
It does not look like I can get enough room to swing a breaker bar to remove the rear upper control arm front bolts. The impact has been the best way to get the others out.
So after the springs and mufflers are out, I will remove the arms and install new bushings.
