I just bought a 1972 chevelle ss. it has all the components that a SS should have 12 bolt/ boxed control arms, disc brakes ,emblems ect. I was looking at the lower control arms on the front and they appear to be oval bushings instead of the round. I was told along time ago that with the F41 suspension they used round only is this true? Anybody else ever run into this....

No, you could have had either. But I think they started using more oval bushings in 70-1/2.
My 70 Malibu has oval rear front control arm bushings.

My 70 Malibu has oval rear front control arm bushings as well. I went with a PST Super Front End Polygraphite kit and had to doublecheck this. I never knew there was a difference.
It could be either way, I'm guessing.
Whoops, I don't have the F41 package, but I still think it probably could have gone either way. My 70 was one of the last ones off the Arlington line in June of 1970.

I think the F41 suspension just relates to the sway bars and rear boxed control arms. Nothing to do with front control arms.
