Great site! New here,so take it easy on me.I have a 72 el camino with stock disc.I can get a 76 pontiac grand prix for free if I haul it away.I have heard the spindles will work? Is this a good donor car for the 11inch rotors. Will everything just bolt right up(calipers, hoses, tierod ends, etc). If not what else can I plan on purchasing to complete this swap,if this car is even a good canadit for my elky. thank you for any help.

While I believe that the Gran Prix is a tall spindle set-up, I believe it also uses 11" rotors. This swap would be futile becuase your stock 1972 disc brake set-up also uses 11" rotors.

Thank you for the reply. So you would not even swap for the claimed advantages of the tall spindle. Seems like several others claim better handling, thought it might be worth the work. Glad to hear I already have the big brakes, on to the next step. I got alot of good info, and specs from you site as well. Thank you again!

If handling were my primary goal, and my car already had disc brakes, I'd have gone with the 1¼" front sway bar, rear sway bar, new bushings all the way around, and some good performance springs and shocks to improve handling.

The next step would be a fast-ratio steering box.

Get into changing all the geometry only if you still want more after upgrading everything else.
