: Bolts don't fit steering arms

I have a disk brake conversion kit form GU. The bolts they provide fit the spindles, caliper brackets, etc. But they are too big to fit through my stock steering arms. Has anyone run into this problem before? If so, what is the best way to fix this? Should I enlarge the holes in the steering arms, or should I look to replace the bolts? Thanks in advance!

Enlarge the holes in the steering arms. Some arms were 7/16" (going on memory, so I made be off on numbers), while others, usually later ones are 1/2". The instructions with my Kore3 kit mentioned this as well. Should be pretty easy to drill. If not any machine shop can do it for you.

That is correct. Ream the holes up to 1/2".

That doesn't sound too difficult to do. Thanks for the replies!

Or you can buy new steering arms with the larger holes as well. That's what I did. Purchased them from CPP.

Russ, that will be my next step if I mess up the ones I have by trying to drill them out. :)

I have been trying for the last hour and two meesed up 1/2 inch drill bits later I still can't cut more than a 1/4 inch down into any one of the holes on the steering arms. They are not 'hardened" in some way, are they?
