I have the disk brake conversion kit from GU. There are two paper washers/gaskets in the box with the spindles. Can someone tell me where they are supposed to go? Thanks in advance!

I think those gaskets go between (around) the spindle and the backing plate.

Yes, they go on the spindle before you install the tin shields.
