I recently bought a 64 malibu am just getting started with it. I noticed some creaking from the front right when weight is shifted there. I have read that on early model chevelles, the lower control arms can crack.
I also have an issue with the car sitting just slightly lower on the right side(front and rear)
Are these interrelated and could it be the control arms??

Creaking could be dry ball joints or upper control arm bushings, both are likely to need replacing after all these years. One side leaning could be springs or body mounts which also probably need replacing. :(
