I make a lot of my own detail decals and put some on my coil springs late last summer. Didn't do a lot of driving in the fall but I now notice the one front spring has rotated 180 degrees as the decal is now facing the back of the spring. Is this rotation normal?

It can rotate if the lower spring didn't seat into the nipple of the lower control arm.

THey are not supposed to rotate. The arm is contoured to match the shape of the spring and once it's lined up, it should not move.

My guess is that it wasn't in the correct location to begin with.

That's what I thought, will need to check the A-Arm to see if there's a problem. Thanks Joe & Tim.

Follow up - Got a chance to look and check this out on the weekend. As it turns out the decal became "unstuck" from the front of the spring and the air flow from driving last fall swung it around to the back.
