: 68 to 69 frame?

I think these frames are the same but is there any difference's at all?

If they are both from the same body style they are; IE: 2 door, 4 door, convertible, El Camino or wagon. Each style has it's own frame with minor differences.

68 has a skid plate thingy in front that 69's don't have.

Also, I know that 69's have a indention at the top-outside above the rear axle that 70-72's don't have and I don't know if 68's have those or not but I don't think so.

Interesting, what is the purpose of them? My Nova has one too.

Thanks Dean, I forgot about that skid on the 68. A guy close has a complete
frame, rear and front suspension in really good condition for $400. It comes
with a 10 bolt but I have a 12 and thought I could build the frame etc. but
I think I'll skip it.
