How do I put the ferrule back on the e-brake wire? thanks Philip May 25th, 09, 12:22 AM What is the ferrule made of and where do you buy them? I was going to use a small piece of tubing and braze it onto the cable. DUKEdevils36 May 25th, 09, 9:43 AM The ferrule on the intermediate cable is made of steel. I was goin to put a weld on the end but all I can find at the auto stors are aluminum. But thats not a bad idea using a small piece of tubing. pdq67 May 25th, 09, 2:30 PM I want to say that heavy equipment operators flaired the cable end strands apart and poured lead down into the ferrel so that they can't pull apart, BUT please check me on this. Otherwise, probably a good hydraulic hose place can crimp everything tight. pdq67 MJRIBEIRO May 26th, 09, 8:15 PM I used a heavy duty cable crimper. |
