It started when I wanted to lower the front of my 66 chevelle. I did some research on TC and found guys using the circle track springs with the adjustable spacers. Well I went for it and bought 500LB springs and the spacers. This is mainly a street car that I take to the track a couple times a year so I wasn't looking for stiff springs for road racing. I have stock uppers and lowers and stock sway bar. I did my own front end alignment with my Fastrax tool and got 1/4* camber 1.5* camber and 1/16th toe. I have edelbrock IAS shocks.
I have the height set 2 1/2" lower than the stock BB springs were at. The rear is stock springs with IAS shocks and an HRparts anti roll bar.
I must say I love the way the chevelle handles now. Tracks super straight and corners very well. The springs are not super stiff but when you throw it into a corner there is very little body roll. Feels like a different car and I love it.
So if you have been on the fence about doing this then I would say go for it. Price is right, you get to set your ride height and excellent handling to boot
