How, or more specifically, where, should I disconnect the brake lines and e-brake cable when removing the rear axle?

thanks,

You could use small fuel line clamps on the e brake cables and the best place to disconnect the brake lines is at the frame connection.

On the e brake cables, slide the small clamp up on the ears that protrude thru the backing plate and tighten the clamp, ease the ears thru the backing plate and remove the clamp the get the cable out. Hope this helps.

should I be prepared to catch alot of brake fluid leaking out, or will it stay in the lines? I know it'll leak out on the drum part of the line, but what about the part going to the MC? is all my fluid going to run out?

thanks!

some will come out, if you have some rubber and plastic plugs, it would help to plug the lines.
