: roto rooter my brake lines ?

Trying to decide whether I can clean all the crud out of my steel brake lines to front drums or should I spring for replacement lines. Has anyone had luck running a nylon bristle brush through the lines with alcohol, brake fluid, or brake cleaner? If so, do you know where to buy a small diameter brush with shaft flexible enough to go through some curves in the line, or did you make it up yourself? Related question, any good or bad feedback on inline tube.com? They have the front 4 lines pre-bent for $65.

Thanks-Dave.

I'd take it to a brake shop and have them pressure bleed the brake system until the fluid is clean and no longer chunky and nasty.

I got to believe that a new line would be stronger than an old one thats fatigued and rusting it way from the inside, out. One real hard swat to the peddle, and AWWWWWAAAYYYYYYY you go. (to the body shop)

I've had good luck with Fine Lines. They supply Year One with many of their lines. http://www.finelinesinc.com/

Why not check our site sponsor, Ground Up... I am not sure who supplies their lines, but pretty sure its one of the ones mentioned above...

The line that runs from to rear is a pain to install if the body is on the frame. The old one is difficult to remove, which will give you a clue about difficulty of installing the new one.

it is nice to no you are safe on the road to you and others as well
plus when you are done going through the hassle of replacing that pain in the a$$ line you will feel much better
plus it does stink but a couple hours of nuckle bustin work
you will be glad you did
