hey Guys... I'm a little new to this and bought my 71 late last year. The car was originally equiped with A/C but when I bought it the compressor and condenser had been removed. I'm planning to remove the evaporator and install an A/C delete cover. What I'm not sure on is some of the wiring and what I can remove. There's the whole A/C harness that comes through the Firewall, can I remove that? I believe it had the blower motor connections but the new engine harness I just purchased has that connection. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Pat

Yes, you can remove the whole A/C harness if the new harness has blower motor wires.
If you are careful when you remove the A/C harness someone here may be able to use it.

I beg to differ. The blower motor wire comming from the engine harness is only for the full power blower. There is a part from the a/c harness that controls the 3 different speeds of the blower motor. So yes you can delete the a/c harness if you just want full blast blower motor or no blower motor at all.

Thanks guys.. I'd really like to keep the blower motor and the ability to use the different speeds. So do I have to keep that whole A/C harness just for that? Looking for different options I guess. Could I just tuck the rest of the wiring inside behind the dash? Is there a "not so difficult" way to convert it to what a stock non-A/C car would be?

When I say "not so difficult" what I'm referring to is I really do NOT want to remove the dash and crack open that can of worms.
