Here's the deal. Maby someone can tell me if it will work and if it is worth the effort. I have 2 cars. One is a 70 Chevelle with power assisted drum brakes, and the other is a 71 with disc brakes. I am keeping the 70 and selling the 71 so the swap needs to work on both cars. I want to put the disc brakes on the 70 and then put the drum brakes on the 71. Both cars have rear drums if it matters.
How much trouble am I getting into here? Will all the parts just simply go from one car to the other? Do the boosters have to be swapped?
Help me out here guy's before I get in over my head!
Thanks,

The spindles and accompanying parts will interchange with no problem. You will need the proper master cylinder. I would think the booster would be swappable too. So basically all parts should interchange. Maybe someone else can chime in here.
Good luck!

This should be an easy swap. I did the same thing between a manual drum car and a power disk car. All done in one day. The biggest drag was pulling the booster in the poewer brake car as the nuts holding in place are difficult to get to. If you pull the master cylinders and see the same type of pushrod on both cars, then leave the boosters in place and swap the master cylinders. Keep in mind that the hose brackets for the front brakes must be swapped, too. They are different thicknesses. When swapping the distribution block and the combination valve (disk brake) you will need to put a lazy-S bend in the line to right front brake on the receiving car. Similarly, you will need to put in a short piece of brake tubing and a flare union to put on the donor car. This is because the distribution block is a bit shorter than the combination valve.
