Well after many hours wrestling with this conversion on my 1970 Chevelle I am almost finished.

I seem to remember reading something on the forum regarding which hole in the brake pedal the push rod connects to. However, I can’t find the post. The push rod was connected to the lower hole in the brake pedal before I installed the new power booster and master cylinder. Just looking at things, the push rod is more horizontal when connected to the top hole but that shortens the stroke of the pedal and the stop light switch would not contact the pedal.

Would someone that has power disk brakes run out to their garage and tell me which hole their push rod is connected to, the upper or lower. I would love to get this project behind me.

Thanks
Brad Howard

On power disc brake cars, the rod is connected to the lower hole, lowering the pedal.

Thanks for the help. I will give it a try and report back.
