will any year 396 chevelle oil pan work on my '66 396. I know the 66 pan has a extra hole under the timing chain cover side, will I have any problems if I use the original timing chain cover and a later chevelle 396 pan. I have looked for an original 66 396 chevelle oil pan and have had no luck finding one, also what oil pump pick up should I use. My motor currently has a aftermarket deep pan.

any Chevelle pan should fit... they may not be 100% correct, but fit and function okay...

I ended up getting a new pan from Summit... $31, and it looks like a stock pan... Fits well in my '66 SS...
