Not sure if this is the right place for this post so I apologize if its not. But I decided to go hunting for my build sheet in my chevelle today. I didnt find the build sheet at all or any traces of it. But I did locate a perfectly preserved IBM punch card stuffed in the springs of the rear seat. I have tried fruitlessly to figure out what it is today. Does anyone know what the punch cards were, and is there any way to decode their meaning anymore? If anyone wants pictures please email me and I will send them. I would really be interested to know what this punch card was used for. Thanks. -Steve

Punch cards are a small piece to the puzzle. Yours probably has a sequence number that will match a number on the trim tag, and a number that identifies the interior code for your car. That is about it.
Without a known program to identify the punch holes, you will have to go by the inked codes which will identify what I mentioned earlier. No one has been able to decipher much more out of these cards. There is some info there, but it won't identify an SS car.
Good luck, keep the card.
Woj.

Yeah its pretty neat, but as I imagine any kind of program to descipher it is hard to come by. It has two rows of numbering, the first and larger font goes across the width of the back side, "13469 60" the second row much longer and many more numbers is as such across the top of the card. "13469 760 0475 130 263062 02D5" Anyone know what those mean? I imagine as mentioned it has something to do with the trim codes etc? Thanks for any help you can provide as well as the already provided information. -Steve
