: You guys running manual front disk, why do you prefer the 15/16" over the OE 1"
hilljack Nov 17th, 04, 2:30 AM I'm getting ready to switch over to manual disk on my 70 and was planning on duplicating the 70 w-30 setup. I see a lot of post about using the later 77 mailbu master, what's the deal?
Also I don't have the correct rubber hose brackets but I heard hoses for a 69 Camaro will work?
Thanks!
sinned Nov 17th, 04, 9:37 AM The smaller the master cylinder piston diameter the easier the brake pedal is (less force required to stop), it also increases the stroke length. Every system is different, you need to experiment to find the right balance for your application.
hilljack Nov 18th, 04, 4:54 PM guess I'll try the later malibu one first.
Do you know about the 69 Camaro rubber hoses?
72SSAbody Nov 19th, 04, 3:40 PM Hilljack,
My head is off in never-never land at the moment due to job issues out on the floor, but I do believe the malibu MC you are talking about has the outlet ports for the front/rear brake circuits switched from what we are used to on our GM A-bodies.

Thanks man graemlins/thumbsup.gif
72SSAbody Nov 19th, 04, 6:49 PM Now that's only if the MC you are talking about is the ACDelco 18M500 MC. Check your numbers.

BillsCamino Nov 19th, 04, 7:00 PM All right, you've got me confused!
It doesn't take much... ;)
What OEM applications came with a 15/16" MANUAL disc m/c?

What OEM applications came with a 15/16" MANUAL disc m/c? I searched the archives last week and If I remember correctly, it's a 77 Malibu six banger.
