according to the Paint codes chart at the front page of this site, it is Arctic Blue Metallic upper and lower paint colors. Hope this helps.

Can anyone tell me what all that means?? Thanks ST 72-13637 ~ 1972 Malibu Sport Coupe
L ~ Los Angeles assembly plant
02969 ~ Fisher Body number, 2969th sport coupe body
TR 724 ~ Dk. Blue Rianon Cloth, Dk. Blue Coated Fabric
A52 ~ bench seat
24 24 ~ Ascot Blue (lower and upper colors) FWIW, the Ascot Blue Metallic is the name for Canadian Chevelles - U.S. Chevelles are Ascot Blue
BC ~ sure that's not 8C? Should be month # and build week of that month; C-third week.
063582 210656 ~ internal plant data processing tracking codes. Of no real significance now but they do appear on the build sheet: 063582 is a tracking number from block 24; 21 is the schedule number from block 10; 0656 is again found in block 24.

I just looked at the color chart here on TC which I normally don't do as they normally reflect Canadian colors and names and have found some inaccuracies as far as Chevelles go (like this one), GM Canadian paint colors not offered on U.S. Chevelles like paint code 21. Not knocking the info here but sometimes it refers to all GM-Canada division colors and names and Chevelle colors and names aren't filtered out.
Just to double-check this one, I found the code 24 for a 72 here on TC is listed as Nordic Blue - Ref: http://www.chevelles.com/years/72/72paint.html. However, if you click the link at the bottom of that page and go to http://www.chevelles.com/years/72/c72a.htm, you'll find that Nordic Blue is the Oldsmobile name for code 24. Cadillac calls it Zodiac Blue, Buick is Cascade Blue, Chevrolet is Ascot Blue, Olds looks like Nordic Blue, and Pontiac is Adriatic Blue. I couldn't find any the Arctic Blue you mentioned; my bad as I should have double-checked before saying it's a Canadian color.
FWIW, I went to Auto Color Library site and found a PPG chip sample sheet for 72s. http://autocolorlibrary.com/chips/1972-chevrolet-pg01.jpg. They show GM code 24 as Ascot Blue Poly with PPGs paint code of 2328. If you then take the PPG paint code of 2328 and plug it into their site http://www.ppgcarpaint.com, they show the paint name as Cascade Blue Poly.
