I saw a post either here or at yenko.net where Jim Mattison from GM talked about the special paint order process and the pricing. He mentioned that:


The "1001HA" is the pricing code for the special paint. The charges for a solid color special paint would vary from no charge (1001AA) to $125.00 (1001HA). Does anyone know how the code "1001PA" differs from the above? Anyone have this code on their build sheet?

I have a few sheets showing "PA" code,among others.
I asked Jim M. awhile ago what these Paint Pricing codes meant & his response was:

"The code "1734AA" would be the paint code for one of the
approved National Fleet Accounts. This code would dictate
the color used and pricing for the account.All paint codes
with "AA" were no charge items.

The other special paints that you have listed used colors that
were either available on other models, or used for other years.
The pricing would also be dictated by the number of units that
were ordered in these colors.

It has been a long time since I've needed to recall these pricing
codes. However, it is my recollection that 1001HA was a
$75.00 charge and that 1001PA was a $25.00 charge."
