Why 2 numbers for paint? The car is in primer and there are small holes on the sides of the roof where it appears to me to have had a vinyl top on it at sometime. Is it possible that it had the trim for a vinyl top but no vinyl hence two numbers ?? elcamino Mar 9th, 05, 12:57 PM Lower and Upper colors, if it were a 2 tone, there would be 2 different number codes. Car did not come with a vinyl, if so there would be a lette code after the fist paint code, e.g. 19 B. These were popular add-ons back in those days. I worked for a used car dealer from 1971-74 and we would often have vinyl tops put on cars. It was a sign of class back then to have a car with a vinyl top. | ||
