Dave, I think you need to do a little advance homework before posting the question of "what's it worth". Does it look like a nice car? Yes for a certain amount, but what if it takes 45K to buy it. Then it's not so good a car for the money. Just because it's at 17K now on Ebay gives us no idea of what the seller is really looking for and if the car is even worth discussing.

By V.I.N. and appearance it is not a 1972 model as claimed in several places in the description.

Decent looking car.
Not my taste.

the rear bumper doesn't look like it fits correctly, possible body damage?????
no truck photos???
they know the year of the engine "66" but think the car is a "72"????
no undercarriage photos???
lots of things could be hiding in the areas not shown........
sure think that they could have repaired or replaced the drivers armrest and window crank that are damaged........

I have tried to impress on you to find out what it takes to buy a car before you post it. Until that figure is established nothing else matters.

My suggestion is everytime you see something you like,,pick up the phone and call them. You will learn a lot just thru this experience. It's a lot better than letting the ideas roll around in ur head. Just call and talk to folks, make some list of questions. Use this time to teach yourself about what to ask and how people give you answers.

From my experience it was well worth the invested time,,the right car is out there for you. Take ur time and enjoy the hunt!

One thing I noticed is his Feedback: 90.9 % Positive. Not a bad feedback but something to keep in mind.

Thanks everyone, I am a video and audiphile and in my circles where I actually know what I am talking about (at least some of the time). newbies in those forums get flamed like crazy. I appreciate your patience with me, I have a steep learning curve, I will get there someday..

Dave, that's fine but here you need to come to the table with all the specifics concerning any car, most importantly the "PRICE". You'll find some very good insight here, but you need to do the legwork/homework first before anyone can offer an honest opinion. Good luck hunting and don't be in a hurry!!!

What would really help me is a "what to look for" type checklist or buyers guide so to speak when looking at potential cars...
