It is an LS7 engine in an L35 chassis dressed as an L78. :thumbsup: 11.80's @ 115 so far :D.

Temp gauge line is pretty far away from the header tube. Yes the headers are jet hot coated. I'm doing so front end work so the inner fender is off the chevelle.

Thanks Chris. :thumbsup: I bought the motor about 10yrs. ago complete but disassembled, had never been fired. :cool:

I assembled it with pump gas friendly 2465 pistons and a mild ;) solid roller. The heads are virgin 990's (0 port/polish work).

Vince, mine is a Malibu but it has an SS hood on it and the clearance is very close. I have a dropbase on it and have to run a 1" filter (A329C). There is approximately 1/4" clearance. It should fit but may be close.

Thanks George. I was running a AirGap, and the aircleaner rubbed the top of the hood a bit, even with a drop base aircleaner, and 3" filter. I have my eye on Vic Jr's, just worried about it being tight. My car seemed to pick-up a couple of MPH at the track when I removed the aircleaner, I think running a 1" aircleaner and drop base cant be helping things, but you need to do what you need to do.
