I'm not doing a concours, but would like to know if the speed nuts should be new looking or covered with splat. Thanks folks.:)

I bet Mystery Chevelle can answer this one.

and I am sure others can also~ ;)

but since I'm in the room...

No SPATTER on speed nuts or wiring harness in my opinion. and while I am at it., the spatter is just that.. SPATTER... meaning it's not pretty, not perfect, not exact, never taped off... so we should see it on hinges of trunk lid also... just remember teh meaning of the word.

Thanks for calling it spatter.....I have soooo many people come into our parts supply and call it splatter paint....even after I refer to it as spatter paint and even after picking up the can.....I love these type of treads because it saves me the trouble of having to ask. Good question davis.

F.W.I.W I know this thread is about 66s , but I had a 58k survivor 65 Malibu, and the nuts on the quarter emblems were spattered on. Not caked on thick, but spatter painted none the less.
