3 - Radio installed
_ - no disc brakes
1 - Air Conditioned

The R 7 1 is not supposed to be in this postion, so I don't knwo what it mean.

The R means rochester carb. and the 7 is the build month of the car, not sure about the 1 though.

Think that's a 'bowtie' logo and not a number '1'; '7' is the build month (July). I think Mike misread the location of the R 7 1 as being under the 1_3_1. He's too good not to have known that. :D

My first post would not allow me to place the 7 R I stacked in vertical order to the far right of the protect-o-plate as displayed but I agree the 7 is month, R is Rochester carb and the last mark or line (I) must be the "bowtie". My plate is in very good condition but the last mark looks like a straight line. Thanks to all for your help!
