I have a 427 block.Numbers are as follows:TO816IL 7100042 casting # 3904351 Date looks like H 8 6.Can you guys decode this for me?Also any idea what it came out of?Thanks Bill.

According to Hemmings Muscle Machines March 2005 issue Big Block by the numbers you have a 427 10.25:1 390@5,400 1966-67-68 or 69 Corvette engine, your date code shows 66 I'm new at this so wait till one of the pro's confirm

67 Corvette serial number 42. Cast August 8, 1966. Aseembled August 8 1966. 390 Horsepower 427.
