I am wondering what a '69 JH 396/375hp standard bore short block would be worth. It retains it's original pistons, 3/8 dimple rods and 6223 crank. It needs to be taken and checked out but if the block, crank and rods are good, what would be a "fair" asking price for the short block? It does have a Nova VIN on it.

Thanks, Kurt http://www.novas.net/forums/images/smilies/beers.gif

I also have a JH standard bore short block with a nova Vin., I did a state vin search for the car but it didnt come up as i have heard alot of Corvette guys find a rare engine and then loook for the car. Kind of backwards , but i guess it works.
I would put a $1500. value on the shortblock.. Its still a L78 375hp engine, so its fairly rare to find. Good luck
