Hey guys, I need some serious help on this one. A buddy of mine knows a guy that is selling his 71 Chevelle. He said it's a real SS, but I don't know what its worth and any help would be nice. It's a 4 speed car, still has the transmission in it, you can see the motor in the pics it has the round gages, don't know if the tranny needs a rebuild or not. He said it was too muddy too muddy The front 2 seats are bucket and the back seat is missing. Here are a few pics below. Around how much do you think she is worth? I might buy it and sell it.

Original engine, and trans? 454? Even if so, you will have well over 15k bringing this girl back to life just to be a nice cruiser. I recently looked at a car similiar to this one, however it was highly documented as a true SS. They wanted 15k, and the quarters were blowing in the wind. I would put this car in the 1,500-2k range based on the engine/trans, and bodywork alone.

what shape are the floor and trunk pan in ? by the looks of that quarter pic rust is going to be an issue, is that vinyl top bubbled up anywhere ? if it needs sheet metal and you need to hire it done it can get real expensive fast.if you can do some of the work it helps but still plan on spending more than you think. good luck Mike . Thanks for the feedback...the rust is not a big deal..I recently bought a 72 that looked ok from the pictures and when it got here it had rust EVERYWHERE including the frame..so i have experience at rust repair.
