This wiper motor and assembly came out of a 1970 Chevelle, but...

The silver metallic sticker on the motor has the following two sets of numbers on the side of the canister:
9691868
275 6 5A

The bottom of the canister has:
Type C
12 V

The assembly has:
Delco Products
Dayton, Ohio
Made in USA
4999854

Can someone please help ID? Thanks ahead of time.

You have a wiper motor that was used on many GM models from late 1973 to 1983, millions of cars but no trucks.


My interchange information does not show it being in use prior to late 1973 and this should not even fit the 70?

As for the date coding, I cannot find any way to decode that.

6=Year Manufactured,1976
5A=Delco internal plant code for quality control,probably plant/line/shift.
