Have an Autogear case m22 and love it, just need OD. The Muncie OD gearset I believe eliminates 3rd gear and adds an OD 4th gear. Drove my car today and tried skipping 3rd. Just didn't feel right. Is that really the way it works? Just seems like a little much from 2 to 4.

It's true that your 4 speed becomes essentially a 3-spd plus over drive, but second gear changes to 1.506 so the split between 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd is more even but wider than before.
1st gear = 2.199
2nd gear = 1.506
3rd gear (was 4th) = 1.00
4th gear (was 3rd) = 0.859

I believe the only way you can do it is with M20/M21 gears, a new 4th, and a new cluster. I was wanting to turn my M22W into one but am not willing to ditch the straight cut gears to do so.

thanks for the info. didn't realize 2nd gear ratio changed. Makes sense now. Still don't think it is for me. Will either do a gear vendor if I can get a deal somewhere or a TKO and sell the m22.

Shoot me a message when/if you sell the AutoGear w/the price.

Can't afford a new one, so it'd have to be a used one for me.

Thanks!

Two lane, I'll keep your info. Could be next week, or next year. Depends on $$.
