I Remember when my cousin bought his new 442 back in the day. I remember when he brought it over to the house to show my dad and i remember the red inner fenders so well. I have never seen these repros on e bay before. The stupid question is will they work on a Chevelle ? Not that i would ever put a set on a yellow Chevelle, but they sure would look cool on an Olds 442 Or a red Chevelle ! !

You should buy some for a chevelle, you would probably spend a maximum of $250 including shipping, (I found some for $200 last year) and paint and clear them yourself. It would be a lot cheaper and you could spend your money on something else.

No, Olds 442 fenderwells will not work on a Chevelle...

I always wondered why they put red ones on the 442. Anybody know what the thought was behind it?

To differentiate the regular 442 from the W30 cars. Same reason why some 67-ish GTO Ram Air cars had them...
