: MSD 6Al and Billet Dist. Spark Plug Wires?

I was at a show last week and saw a guy running a 6AL and an MSD billet distrib. THe car runs the MSD distrib that uses a cap of the same size as a stock GM cap from a points ignition system. The car was running stock Packard wires on his plugs and the owner said it worked OK. I thought this wire and distrib. combo was a "no no"?

The "theme" of the car was to have it look as period correct as possible while running the 6AL and Billet distrib. The car was a 67 Chevelle with a 454 but it was dressed out to look like a stock 396 in every way possible with the exception of a Vette 3x2. Apparently there was a plan by GM to offer the 3x2 in BB cars in 67 but the option was killed.

I am running a 6AL and a Billet and would like to get rid of the blue MSD wires to get closer to that "period correct" - "box stock" look with my engine but I wonder about the wire combo.

Anyone have an experience with this combo of MSD and stock wires?

Any kind of TV-Radio suppression wires should be OK. As I understand it, the only ones you have to avoid are the non-suppression "solid core" wires.
