1969 SS chevelle 396 4 Speed 12 bolt 411 posi Block code is JA Vin is 136379kxxxxxx The interior code on trim tag 765 and the Paint code is 50c .

Can anyone decode this for me? I am interested in buying this car.

JA is a 69 325 horse 396 with manual trans
765 is dark blue buckets
50 is Dover white and I believe the "C" is for Dark Blue vinyl top

No such thing as factory 4.11. 4.10 was the ratio but I don't think that it was available with a 4 spd. Someone else needs to comment.

Confirm Greg's comment about vinyl top colour and code. The 4.10 was available with the four speed transmissions.

No. Per my reference Dover White with dark blue vinyl top (C is for dk Blue top) would get a black stripe if a stripe was ordered. No blue stripes were available on '69 SS's.

PLEASE don't put black stripes on that car, I doubt anyone who ordered that combo would make that mistake but anything's possible. Wasn't GM kind to offer so many combos to so many color challenged buyers.

I agree, no stripe. Very unique color combo, white with blue interior and blue top :thumbsup:
