i recently bought a 72 malibu and i am trying to decode the pop ive got most of it but there are a few letters i havent found if any one could help i would be greatfull

in the third line it reads.

E - Eaton is the posi manuf.


R - Carb source code for Rochester Division

3 - Disc brakes
1 - A/C

CH is 2.73 posi for 72. Typo in the Chevy parts book has GH listed twice.
Should be 117th day of 72. The E after the bowtie is the month delivered E for May.
